The Mount Pleasant City Council will hold a Regular City Council meeting on June 9, 2026, at 6:40 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 115 West Main Street, Mount Pleasant, Utah. Call to Order-Mayor 1. Opening Ceremony- By Invitation Pledge of Allegiance- Opening Prayer- 2. Roll Call - City Recorder 3. Consent Agenda - Mayor Claims Register: Dated 05/23/2026 to 06/05/2026 in the amount of $497,559.64 Approval of Minutes: May 26, 2026, Work Session Minutes May 26, 2026, Regular City Council Minutes 4. Public Comment Members of the public may address the City Council on matters not listed on the agenda. Those interested should sign up on the form just inside the council room door prior to the start of the meeting. Participation is limited to three minutes. Each participant will be allowed to address the Council and may submit documents outlining their issue. The Council cannot take legal action on public comment at this time. At the conclusion of each comment, the Council will have time to respond to criticism made by those who have addressed them, may ask staff to review a matter or may ask that a matter be placed on a future agenda. All City Council meetings are recorded. 5. Business/Action Items: a. Purchases & Requisitions i. Requisition #060226 To Motion Industries, INC in the amount of $103,145.50- Shane Ward ii. Requisition #060126 To Owen Equipment for a Push Camera System 200' in the amount of $9,750.00- Colter Allen iii. Ratification of Emergency Requisitions (if any) 6. Discussion/Possible Action Items: a. Approval of Resolution 2026-08 adopting the Operating Budget of the Mount Pleasant City Library for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. b. Approval of Resolution 2026-09 adopting the Operating Budget of Mount Pleasant City for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. c. Approval of Resolution 2026-10 adopting the 2026 Mount Pleasant City Property Tax Rate. d. Approval of Resolution LBA2026-01 adopting the Operating Budget of the Local Building Authority (LBA) for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. e. Approval of Ordinance #2026-08 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF MT. PLEASANT CITY, UTAH, ESTABLISHING AND AMENDING COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN MUNICIPAL OFFICERS AND ELECTED OFFICIALS. f. Approval of Ordinance #2026-09 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND IMPLEMENTING A PROGRAM TO CHARGE MITIGATION RATES FOR THE DEPLOYMENT OF EMERGENCY AND NON-EMERGENCY SERVICES BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR SERVICES PROVIDED/RENDERED FOR THE CITY OF MOUNT PLEASANT FIRE DEPARTMENT. g. Approval of Ordinance#2026-10 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AND ENACTING A NEW CHAPTER 42 IN TITLE 10 OF THE MT. PLEASANT MUNICIPAL CODE ('MMC'), ESTABLISHING A REVIEW PROCESS FOR NEW OR UNLISTED BUSINESS USES AS REQUIRED BY UTAH CODE 10-20-507; PROVIDING FOR CLASSIFICATION REQUESTS, ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW, LEGISLATIVE ACTION, AND APPEALS; AND MAKING RELATED AMENDMENTS. h. Discussion and possible approval of a reduction, waiver, reimbursement, or other action regarding impact fees for the North Sanpete School District new mechanic shop in the amount of $13,851.00- Shane Ward i. Discussion and possible approval of an alcohol permit for the sale of alcoholic beverages at the 2026 Fourth of July Hub City Rodeo- Councilman Howcroft 7. Reports: a. Staff Reports b.
