Notice is hereby given that the Logan Municipal Council will hold its regular meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in the Logan Municipal Council Chambers located at 290 North 100 West, Logan, Utah 84321. QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS FOR MAYOR AND COUNCIL: Any person wishing to comment on any item not otherwise on the agenda may address the City Council at this point by stepping to the microphone and giving his or her name and the City where you reside for the record. Comments should be limited to not more than three (3) minutes, unless additional time is authorized by the Council Chair. Citizen groups will be asked to appoint a spokesperson. This is the time and place for any person who wishes to comment on non-agenda items and items that are germane or relevant to the authority of the City Council. PUBLIC HEARING - CODE AMENDMENT - Consideration of a proposed ordinance to amend Chapter 17.24 'Critical Lands Overlay Zone' to modify the Riparian and Wetland Setback Standards and update the range of uses and activities permitted within setback areas - Ordinance 25-11 - Mike DeSimone, Community Development Director B. Consideration of a proposed ordinance adopting the National Incident Management System (NIMS) as the standard for incident management and establishing compliance for federal funding eligibility - Ordinance 25-12 - Ron Gonsalves, Emergency Manager C. A copy was also posted on the Logan City website at loganutah.gov and the State Public Meeting Notice website at http://pmn.utah.gov. DATED THIS 14th day of AUGUST 2025 Teresa Harris, City Recorder Council members may participate in the meeting via telephonic communication. If a Council member does participate via telephonic communication, the Council member will be on speakerphone. The speakerphone will be amplified so that the other Council members and all other persons present in the Council Chambers will be able to hear all discussions. In compliance with the American with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodations or assistance during this meeting shall notify Teresa Harris, City Recorder, at 435-716-9002, at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. Meetings are conducted at the discretion of the Council, and we ask for your cooperation in maintaining the following: a) Consideration of items will occur as indicated on the printed agenda, although the Council reserves the right to alter the order if the need arises. b) Those speaking are asked to keep comments relevant to the matter being considered. c) Outbursts, including cheers, jeers, noise makers, and applause are not appropriate as they may discourage those with opposing views from speaking. d) Items involving a large number of people wishing to make comments, a time limit may be imposed. e) Once the public comment portion for a particular item has been closed, no additional public comments are allowed, unless requested by the Council. f) Anyone wishing to speak is asked to sign in at the podium. g) All public comments and questions will be made into the microphone at the podium to allow for recording of the proceeding. h) The meeting is managed by the Chair. All questions/comments will be directed to the Council.
