CENTRAL WASATCH COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA MONDAY, MARCH 4, 2019, 4:00 p.m. COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS 2277 East Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah A. OPENING i. Commissioner Chris McCandless will conduct the meeting as Chair of the CWC. ii. The Commission will consider approving the meeting minutes of Monday, February 4, 2019. B. PUBLIC COMMENT. Comments to the Commission are taken on any item not scheduled for a public hearing, as well as on any other CWC business. Comments are limited to three minutes. C. SEATING OF NEW COMMISSIONER i. Consideration of RESOLUTION 2019-11 Approving a New Member Commissioner, Salt Lake County Mayor Jennifer Wilson, Representing the Interests of Salt Lake County. ii. Seating of New Commissioner Jennifer Wilson. D. COMMISSIONER COMMENT E. STAKEHOLDERS COUNCIL CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR COMMENT F. PRESENTATION ON ALTA SKI AREA'S OPTIONS FOR MOVING FORWARD WITH CENTRAL WASATCH NATIONAL CONSERVATION AND RECREATION AREA i. Alta Ski Area President and General Manager Mike Maughan will provide a presentation on Alta Ski Area's board-approved options for the Central Wasatch National Conservation and Recreation Area. G. PUBLIC COMMENT. Comments to the Commission are taken on any item not scheduled for a public hearing, as well as on any other CWC business. Comments are limited to three minutes. H. CWC QUARTERLY BUDGET UPDATE i. Presentation by Dave Sanderson concerning the CWC's FY 2019 2nd quarter financial report and FY 2018/2019 budget comparison. I. CWC BUDGET COMMITTEE UPDATE AND DISCUSSION i. Commissioner Robinson will lead a discussion on the initial CWC Budget Committee meeting and circulated proposal for 2019 member jurisdiction contributions. J. DISCUSSION AND ACTION REGARDING LIVE AND ARCHIVED AUDIO STREAMING SERVICES FOR CWC COMMISSION MEETINGS i. CWC Staff will present an overview and provide recommendations for live audio streaming capabilities at future CWC public meetings. ii. Commission discussion and consideration of approving staff recommendations to implement live streaming platform. K. PRESENTATION ON SNOWBIRD RESORT'S REDUCING INDIVIDUAL DRIVING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT (RIDE) MOBILE APPLICATION i. Snowbird Director of Sustainability Hilary Arens will provide a presentation on Snowbird's mobile phone application, 'RIDE.' L. PRESENTATION ON UDOT EIS, COTTONWOOD CANYONS TRANSPORTATION ACTION PLAN i. Presentation by UDOT Project Manager John Thomas and Deputy Director Jesse Dean on joint short-term and long-term efforts to address transportation issues in Cottonwood Canyons. M. DISCUSSION AND ACTION REGARDING UTAH LEGISLATIVE SESSION, LEGISLATION POTENTIALLY IMPACTING THE CWC i. Presentation by Executive Director Ralph Becker on the status of state legislation potentially impacting the CWC's work. N. STAFF MONTHLY REPORT i. Presentation by Executive Director Ralph Becker of his monthly report. O.
