Citizens to be Heard
Anna Sprout introduced her role with Steward Moab, a newly-established 501c3 nonprofit. They are organizing a commercial guide summit which will be a 2-day event with a special presentation on adaptive athletes & equipment. Thanks to CNHA for bridge/seed funding to establish the organization.
Action items
Elections: No current representatives have sought changes of their positions. Kirsten made a motion to approve all representatives for reappointment in the coming year. Jacques seconded. Unanimously approved.
Discussion items
March 1 eBike regulations: Class 1 eBikes will be allowed on all BLM trails on March 1, 2026. TrailMix would like to author a one-sheet to share with shuttles and public to communicate policy and areas. Katie shared that the BLM is planning a Trail Day on March 2 when they will update signage. GCATT requests help liaising with bike shops and sharing social media information. One-sheet communication will be sourced from a variety of pre-existing eBike authorities, including Moab PD, IMBA, Fruita trail systems, and elsewhere. Group discussion about ethics, etiquette, protocols, approaches, and best-practices followed.
Spring Spruce-Up: April 11, 2026! MARC is reserved, beer permit acquired. There's a small budget (~$4k) available which may help pay for food. Quality over quantity for our projects! So far we have 4-5 projects and could use a few more. Email Evan with proposals. Lunches will
again be provided by Antica Forma. Default will be no shuttles provided to projects, but project leaders or participants could organize shuttle/carpool.
Tentative schedule:
8am meet
9am disperse to project
Work for the day
5-8pm post-event dinner
8pm clean up
DRAFT
Film event: Sam wants to show new short doc Best Day Ever in Moab. Committee members are interested in hosting it in conjunction with Mud Springs grand opening 4/24.
New trail: Evan wants everyone to know the new Falcon Climb is now open! It's sandy but will firm up. It will be completed later.
Master plan: Was adopted by the City on December 9! The County planning commission voted to recommend its approval but County Commission hasn't yet voted on it and may not bring it to a vote.
Recreation Trails Program (RTP) Grant: Federal money administered by state and may be restructured. Grant is due April 10; TM will vote on a letter of support in February and Commission will be approached after that.
Member reports
BLM: Katie and the BLM are helping to host events recognizing the 250th anniversary of our country.
Lily is working on trail accessibility and documenting objective measurement of our trails. They've recorded 56 trails and 106 miles.

GCATT: Report contained in discussion items.
