- Welcome and Updates - Chris Etherington, Vice Chair -Intro Script -Call for attendance Approval HF Committee Minutes 9.10.25 Chris Etherington, Vice Chair Old Business New Business -Two new Health Facility Committee (HFC) members, Jesse Buntjer (assisted living rep) and Greg Atwood (registered nurse rep) -Cory Robison, the nursing care facility representative has stepped down from the HFC -Electing a new chair and vicechair for the HFC Nominations? -Current vacancies for the HFC One physician, licensed to practice medicine Rep of freestanding ambulatory surgical facilities Nursing care facility representative (an application was received and approved on 11/3/2025. Sent to the Governor's office for approval) Anyone interested in joining the HFC can apply for one of these positions at boards.utah.gov -Satellite Emergency Departments H.B. 152 Health Care Facilities Amendments as of May 7, 2025 A process is being developed to better guide hospitals with satellite emergency departments in Class I Population > 1,150,000 (Salt Lake) and Class II counties Population 260,000 - 1,150,000 (Cache, Davis, Utah, Washington and Weber). The current satellite emergency departments in the Class I and II counties will be licensed separately from the hospital and will be required to pay an annual fee. -Centers for Medical Cannabis will be sending a survey to all assisted living facilities, hospitals and nursing care facilities.
