Agenda Items: Call the meeting to order: Welcome introductions for new individuals as necessary: Meeting breakdown and reminders: These are public meetings. Follow the Agenda. Be respectful of everyone's time, keep side conversations and chit chatting to a minimum, or until after the meeting has concluded. Do not interrupt others while they are speaking. Note your questions and hold them until the end of each section. Approval of Meeting Minutes: Discuss and approve 5-5-25 and 5-12-15 meeting minutes. Rachel (Marketing) - - Marketing update Coloring Campaign and reading campaign updates Walker Drug sponsorship Aquatic Center sponsorship Poster update Need to finalize sponsor logos for poster: Grand County, City of Moab, Grand County Sheriffs, Moab PD, MVFD, EMS, Carquest, Red Rock 4 Wheelers, Beehive Skate Revolution, Moab Area Transit, Moab Arts - The MARC, Wheeler, Walker Drug, Canyonlands Auto Sales, Moab Brewery, Packard Wholesale Co., Moab Cares, Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, Archway Inn, any other hotels? Radio and Print Ad updates - Underdog update Saturday 9am to 2pm Prefer an outdoor location Greg (Security/Risk Management) - Trisha (Commissioner) - 4-H/USU - Review old business: Banner and Trophy orders have been submitted. Working through the final details Flag Order Placed - Amazon - Wheeler and Canyonland Auto Sales - $57.78 - waiting on final proofs and invoice total Thursday's Vendor Market hosted by the Moab Arts and Recreation Center. - Title: A Moab Market at the Grand County Fair - Time: 5pm - 8pm - Location: Pavilion - Mackenzie started advertising the market through social media Chris Swenson with NPS is going to help coordinate the volleyball tournament. Tasia and Sean with the community line dance group volunteered to run the line dancing for Saturday. Need to find someone to coordinate the Cornhole Tournament. Dunk Tank - if Classic Air Medical cannot host the Dunk Tank, we need to find someone else who can. Chamber Fundraiser? Dunk a business owner? Check in with MAT for route schedule and start finalizing options for the fair. Check in with Chamber of Commerce for any fair related business (what are they doing, social media marketing material, etc.) New business: T-Shirts - Emailed Melissa Parriott with Wild Ink to order volunteer shirts - she is happy to work with us on this year's order. I'm also talking to her about sponsorship. - Offroad Outfitters - emailed them about providing t-shirts for the general public. The public would order directly from the company. Fair Layout and Maps - Maps have been drafted Pony Ride location Volleyball Tournament Moab Photobooth Underdog Try outs for National Anthem singers Art and Ag Market June 6th - do we want to register a 'booth' to market the Fair? If so, who would like to volunteer? American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - Mackenzie has been recruited to volunteer for their fundraising walk on October 4th and is using the opportunity to cross network. - They are interested in being involved with the county fair somehow. At the Grand County Commission meetings/hearings and other Grand County Boards, Commissions, or Committees any citizen, property owner, or public official may be heard on any agenda subject. The number of persons heard and the time allowed for each individual maybe limited at the sole discretion of the Chair. On matters set for public hearings there is a three-minute time limit per person to allow maximum public participation. Upon being recognized by the Chair, please advance to the microphone, state your full name and address, whom you represent, and the subject matter. No person shall interrupt legislative proceedings. Requests for inclusion on an agenda and supporting documentation must be received by 5:00 PM on the Tuesday prior to a regular Commission Meeting and forty-eight (48) hours prior to any Special Commission Meeting. Information relative to these meetings/hearings may be obtained at the Grand County Commission's Office,125 East Center Street, Moab, Utah; (435)259-1346.
