In accordance with Utah Code 10-3-711, the Millcreek City Council adopted the following ordinances on June 10, 2024:
Ordinance 24-28, Approving a Monetary Contribution of up to $14,900 to the Millcreek Arts Council. The ordinance follows Utah Code Ann. ยง 10-8-2, which requires, among other things, a study to support a monetary donation which sets forth an analysis and demonstrates the purpose for the appropriation.
Ordinance 24-29, Declaring Approximately 483 Square Feet of Real Property Located at or near the Intersection of Siggard and 2000 East, as Surplus; Determining that a Trade for Approximately 487 Square Feet of Real Property Located at or near the Intersection of Siggard and 2000 East Constitutes a Minimum Bid and Consummating the Trade Constitutes the Highest and Best Economic Return to the City. The city plans to realign the intersection of Siggard and 2000 East and needs some additional real property, so the city will trade property to accomplish the realignment.
Ordinance 24-30, Adopting a New Compensation Schedule/Payscale for Executive Municipal Officers and Employees. This ordinance is in accordance with Utah Code Section 10-3-818 which requires, among other things, that the city publish public notice and hold a separate public hearing on proposed compensation increases for executive municipal officers and employees before adopting those increases. The Council intends to approve a 4% cost of living adjustment and up to a 1.5% merit increase, which raises the compensation schedule, in the FY25 budget.
