NOTICE OF CERTIFICATION OF ANNEXATION PETITION Pursuant to Section 10-2-406, U.C.A., Millville City, Utah, hereby gives notice as follows: 1. A petition proposing the annexation of real property has been filed with Millville City by Millville City. 2. On November 10, 2022, the Millville City Council received the required Notice of Certification from the City Recorder certifying that the Petition meets the requirements of State Law. 3. The area proposed for annexation in the petition is described as follows: A parcel of Ground located in the Southwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 11 North, Range 1 East of the Salt Lake Base &and Meridian. Described as follows: A PART OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 22, TOWNSHIP 11 NORTH, RANGE 1 EAST OF THE SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN. BEGINNING AT A POINT ON THE NIBLEY CITY CORPORATE LIMITS LINE POINT LOCATED SOUTH 08°27'04' EAST, A DISTANCE OF 1,977.04 FEET FROM THE RAIL ROAD SPIKE MONUMENTING THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID SECTION 22 FROM WHICH THE BRASS CAP MONUMENTING THE NORTH QUARTER CORNER OF SECTION 21 BEARS NORTH 89°48'36' WEST, A DISTANCE OF 2,632.85 FEET; THENCE RUNNING ALONG SAID CORPORATE LIMITS LINE THE FOLLOWING FOUR (4) COURSES: (1) SOUTH 89°16'51' EAST, A DISTANCE OF 229.82 FEET; (2) NORTH 75°40'34' EAST, A DISTANCE OF 146.35 FEET; (3) NORTH 83°45'43' EAST, A DISTANCE OF 27.12 FEET; (4) NORTH 85°25'00' EAST, A DISTANCE OF 22.15 FEET TO THE MILLVILLE CITY CORPORATE LIMITS LINE; THENCE RUNNING ALONG SAID LINE THE FOLLOWING FOUR (4) COURSES: (1) SOUTH 31°52'52' WEST, A DISTANCE OF 160.25 FEET; (2) SOUTH 75°57'51' WEST, A DISTANCE OF 106.27 FEET; (3) SOUTH 71°30'54' WEST, A DISTANCE OF 27.18 FEET; (4) SOUTH 60°15'33' WEST, A DISTANCE OF 74.41 FEET; THENCE NORTH 00°00'00' WEST, A DISTANCE OF 142.53 FEET; THENCE NORTH 00°00'12' EAST, A DISTANCE OF 169.34 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINING 1.26 ACRES 4. The complete Annexation Petition is available for inspection and copying by contacting Recorder Corey Twedt, corey@millvillecity.org. 5. Millville City may grant the Petition and annex the above described area unless a written protest to the Annexation Petition is filed with the Cache County Boundary Commission, by an authorized protestor, and a copy of the protest is delivered to the Millville City Recorder.
