4. LEGISLATIVE ITEMS
A. CONSIDER 13.30 SUBDIVISION AMENDMENTS - Consider amending flowchart to simplify the subdivision process (removing Public Hearings) for Preliminary Plats.
B. DISCUSSION: PUBLIC HEARING & NOTICE REQUIREMENTS - In some cases, HPC code requires public hearings where the state does not. Sometimes letters are sent 'as a courtesy'. When should public hearings be required and when should notices be sent, and to whom? When the state requires notification, it is to 'adjacent neighbors'. HPC has been notifying neighbors within 300 feet, sometimes amounting to over 100 letters, plus time and postage.
C. CONSIDER 12.50 PLANNING COMMISSION AMENDMENTS - Consider amending the code to allow for an alternate PC member. Designate who sets/approves agendas. Discuss any other possible updates or desired changes.
D. CONSIDER PERMITTED USES IN ZONES - Consider types of businesses, buildings and uses allowed in various zones.
