NOTICE is hereby given that the Kanab Planning Commission will hold its regular
Commission Meeting on the 4th day of August 2026, in the City Council Chambers at the
Kanab City Office located at 26 North 100 East in Kanab. The Planning Commission
meeting will convene at 6:30 PM and the agenda will be as follows:
Agenda Items:
1. Call to Order and Roll Call
2. Approval of meeting minutes from July 7, 2026
3. Public Comment Period - Members of the public are invited to address the Planning
Commission. Participants are asked to keep their comments to 3 minutes and follow
rules of civility outlined in Kanab Ordinance 3-601
Legislative Decision:
1. Continued Item - Discuss and recommend to City Council a text amendment for
Subdivision Ordinance Chapter 2A and 2B adopting amendments to the Minor
Subdivision sections.
2. Continued Item - Discuss and recommend to City Council a text amendment for land
Use Ordinance Chapter 17 Single Family Residential Zones for proposed amendments
related to minimum street frontage requirement in R-1-20.
3. PUBLIC HEARING - Discuss and recommend to City Council a zone change application
on Parcel K-C-2-1 from R-1-8 [Single Family, 8,000 sq.ft. minimum] to C-2 [Commercial]
Parcel is located approximately at 318 N 100 E.
4. PUBLIC HEARING - Discuss and recommend to City Council a zone change application
on Parcel K-376-2 from C-2 [Commercial] to R-1-15 [Rural Residential 15,000 sq.ft.
minimum]. Parcel is located approximately at 1045 S HWY 89A (behind K-Town/Straws)
Administrative Decision Items:
5. Discuss, approve or deny a Site Plan for new construction on a hotel, restaurant, and
administrative buildings located in the Ventana Resort Village, phase 2.
6. Discuss approve or deny a site plan for a change in occupancy and remodel for a
Legacy Gym located at 265 E 300 S.
7. Discuss and recommend to City Council a final plat for phase 1 of the Hidden Canyon
Subdivision.
