Overview

- The board discussed the purchase of the Type 6 truck and all details. Olivia Anderson made a motion to approve the purchase of the Type 6 Brush Truck, according to Resolution R-2026-0224, Kim Slight Second. All voted and passed.
- The purchase will be financed through a five-year lease agreement with Zion Bank Corp Public Finance.
- Rather than reading the full resolution aloud, the board agreed to attach the two-page document to the meeting minutes.
- Pat Johnson provided a summary of the final steps for the acquisition.
o Financial proposals were compared, and an asset acquisition form was completed as per policy.
o The seller provided a bill of sale.
- The timeline for finalizing the purchase was outlined:
o February 25, 2026: Zion Bank Corp is expected to give its approval.
o February 26, 2026: Dammeron Valley Fire (DVFR) can take possession of the vehicle.
o February 27, 2026: The official closing and disbursement of funds are scheduled.
- An attorney review of the lease documents is required. The fee for this review is $150.
- The new vehicle will have immediate insurance coverage under the state insurance trust as soon as it is acquired. A formal application will be submitted afterward to formalize the coverage.
- The original lease agreement requires wet signatures and must be mailed to Mark Anderson in Salt Lake.
- A scanned copy of the completed and signed lease, including the attorney's review signature, must be emailed to Mark Anderson by February 26, 2026 to ensure a closing on February 27, 2026.
- Exhibit F of the lease agreement needs to be signed by a representative from United Fleet when the vehicle is picked up. Chief Reifer will handle this when he takes possession.

DVFD is located on the east side of Highway 18, about half way between Mile Markers 17 & 18, the second building after the mail box pods on the North side of the street.
