Laketown Town Council Agenda January 7, 2026 6:00 PM Notice is hereby given that the Town of Laketown Town Council will hold their regularly scheduled meeting at 6:00 PM on Wednesday January 7, 2026, in the Laketown Town Office located at 10 North 200 East Laketown, Utah. 1. SWEARING IN OF NEW MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL MEMBERS 2. CALL TO ORDER - Mayor BRANDON WILLIS 3. OPENING CEREMONY - TBD 4. ROLL CALL 5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 6. APPROVAL OF PRIOR MEETING MINUTES 7. BUDGET REVIEW 8. APPROVAL OF BILLS 9. UPDATES FROM CLERK'S OFFICE (Lisa) A. Office will be closed January 19, 2025 (Martin Luther King Day) B. New Office hours C. Town dumpster overflowing D. Building Permit Report E. Continued dot gov transition F. Updating the current town website and cost 10. TOWN COUNCIL ETHICS PLEDGE 11. TOWN COUNCIL FINANCIAL PLEDGE The Town Council will not begin discussion on the following agenda items before 6:30 PM 12. QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS FOR MAYOR AND COUNCIL: Any person wishing to comment on any item, not otherwise on the agenda, may address the town council at this point by addressing the mayor and town council and giving his or her name and address for the record. Comments should be limited to not more than three (3) minutes, unless additional time is authorized by the mayor. Citizen groups will be asked to appoint a spokesperson. This is the time and place for any person who wishes to comment on non-agenda items. Some items brought forward to the attention of the town council will be turned over to the clerk to provide a response outside of the town council meeting. The Town Council meeting will be paused at 7:00 PM to hold two scheduled Public Hearings. Once the Public Hearings have concluded the Town Council Meeting will resume. 13. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION - Chairman Duane Robinson 14. ITEMS OF BUSINESS A. Cache Valley Bank - Authorized check signatures B. Mayor Willis - Assign Council Member to Reconcile Bank Statements C. TRT Grant Approval - Park Bowery and Restrooms D. Update Consolidated fee schedule wording under Planning and Zoning: lot split: fee $200, change lot split to minor subdivision E. Discussion and possible vote on new ordinance: water impact fees, fee instead of turning over a water share, and drilling wells within city limits F. Update language for minor subdivisions G. Discussion on Special Event Permit (Mayor Willis) 15. COUNCIL BUSINESS: - Water Updates - Burdette Weston - Roads & Streets Updates - Kirsten Gash - Park & Recreation Updates - Denise Johnson - Rodeo & Arena Updates - Kris Hodges 16. MAYOR'S REPORT: - Bear Lake Regional Commission Report - Any additional Town Business - Town Council & Planning & Zoning training from Utah Property Right Ombudsman 17. EXECUTIVE SESSION (if needed) 18. ADJOURN NOTE: The Town Council may vote to go into an executive session pursuant to the Utah Code 52-4-205 On Monday January 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM a copy of the foregoing notice was posted on the Utah Public Notice website at http://pmn.utah.gov and on the Laketown website at www.laketownutah.com. A copy was posted in conspicuous view inside and outside the Laketown Town Office in Laketown, Utah, and inside of the Laketown post office and at Dee's Service Station.
