NOTICE OF MEETING
OF THE
KANAB CITY COUNCIL
Notice is hereby given that the Kanab City Council will hold a regular council meeting on the 14th day of October 2025, in the City Council chambers at the Kanab City Office, 26 N 100 E, Kanab, Utah. The Council Work Meeting will convene at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Business Meeting at 6:30pm. The agenda will be as follows:

5) PRESENTATIONS:
A) Employee Recognition- Life-saving actions by Kanab City Police Officer.
B) Employee Recognition- State and national meter building competition.
C) Utah Department of Natural Resources - Presentation on inspection program for invasive aquatic species.
6) PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS:
A) Discussion and consideration of an ordinance amending Kanab City's General Ordinance Chapter 9- Business Licenses. The purpose of the amendment is to update the regulations of special events and to allow for-profit events in city limits.
B) Discussion and consideration of an ordinance amending Kanab City's Land Use Ordinance Section 13 Police and Public Offenses. The Purpose of the amendment is to discuss dog boarding parameters and requirements for residential areas.
7) ACTION ITEMS READY FOR VOTE:
A) Discussion and consideration of an ordinance authorizing a zone change on parcel K-45-9 from R-1-8 (Single Family) to RM (Multi-Family Zone). The Parcel is located at 322 E. 200 S. (Applicant Josh Beazer).
B) Discussion and Consideration of a letter of approval to provide emergency medical services and patient transports within Kanab City pursuant to Kane County's EMS RFP process.
C) Discussion and consideration of a resolution adopting an official City Flag and authorizing its use for community display.
8) ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION:
A) Discussion on the Kanab City Public Infrastructure District Policy and the financing tool of Infrastructure Financing Districts allowed for in the State of Utah and recognition of a public hearing on October 21, 2025 at 6:30pm to approve the Hidden Canyon PID.
B) Discussion on the proposed Kanab Municipal Airport Capital Improvement Plan (2025-2033).
C) Discussion and receipt of 2026 City Goals developed by department directors and City staff.
D) Strategy session and discussion of a real estate exchange, surplus, or sale to include the City owned property at parcel 3-6-32-3
E) Strategy session to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation.
