Public Hearings Notice
The Gunnison City Council will conduct multiple public hearings, commencing at 6 P.M. on Wednesday August 13th, at Gunnison City Council Chambers, 38 West Center Street, Gunnison, UT 84634
1. Proposed tax increase: Gunnison City would receive an additional $209,130 in property tax revenue per year. This would be an increase of approximately 78.37% above last year's budgeted revenue excluding eligible growth.
2. Wage increases: City Manager, Public Works Director, Library Manager, Pool Manager
3. Fund Transfer: The 2025-2026 budget contains a transfer from the sewer fund to the general fund of $300,000, a transfer from the water fund to the general fund of $250,000, and a transfer from the utility fund to the pressurized irrigation fund for reimbursement of project expenses in the amount of $500,000.
4. Adopt the 2025-2026 fiscal year budget.
