Laketown Town Council Agenda and Public Hearings October 7, 2026 6:00 PM Notice is hereby given that the Town of Laketown Town Council will hold their regularly scheduled meeting following the two Public Hearings at 6:00PM on Wednesday October 7, 2026, in the Laketown Town Office located at 10 North 200 East Laketown, Utah. 1. CALL TO ORDER - Mayor BRANDON WILLIS 2. OPENING CEREMONY - TBD 3. ROLL CALL 4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 5. PUBLIC HEARING: Ordinance 2026-08 Corner Lot Sizes and setbacks - amending the current requirements for comer lots with in the town city limits and considering clarifying the setbacks on all sides of a corner lot 6. PUBLIC HEARING: Vacate a Portion of Town Right-of-Way on North Main Street - proposal that the town vacate a strip of town right-of-way on the west side of North Main Street, beginning at the stop sign at the northwest corner of North Main Street and East Center Street and extending approximately 470 feet north, approximately 22 feet wide. 7. APPROVAL OF PRIOR MEETING MINUTES 8. BUDGET REVIEW 9. APPROVAL OF BILLS 10. CURRENT TOWN ISSUES/UPDATES Update on clearing culvert at Bill Johnson's driveway (Mayor Willis) Update on bee/wasps compliant from Mike Mattson (CM Weston) 11. ACTIVITY COMMITTEE - Chairman Heidi Hodges 12. UPDATES FROM CLERK'S OFFICE (Lisa) The Town Council will not begin discussion on the following agenda items before 6:30 PM 13. QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS FOR MAYOR AND COUNCIL: Any person wishing to comment on any item, not otherwise on the agenda, may address the town council at this point by addressing the mayor and town council and giving his or her name and address for the record. Comments should be limited to not more than three (3) minutes, unless additional time is authorized by the mayor. Citizen groups will be asked to appoint a spokesperson. This is the time and place for any person who wishes to comment on non-agenda items. Some items brought forward to the attention of the town council will be turned over to the clerk to provide a response outside of the town council meeting. 14. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION - Chairman Duane Robinson 15. ITEMS OF BUSINESS a. Amber Droesbeke - Requesting the Town cover the cost of her Notary Insurance b. Review and approval of Bid for 2026-27 Town Street Snow Removal c. Review and approval of Bid for Town traffic sign replacement d. Discussion and possible vote on Ordinance 2026-09 - Vacating Right of Way on North Main Street e. Discussion and possible vote on proposed rezoning map on lot sizes as presented by Planning and Zoning at last month's council meeting. f. Discussion and possible vote on Ordinance 2026-08, amending the current requirements for comer lots within the town city limits and considering clarifying the setbacks on all sides of a corner lot g. Discussion and Review of proposed Ordinance 2026-07 - Amend the Transient business License fee and procedure h. Discussion and possible vote on Ordinance 2026-04 - Amending the Consolidated Fee Schedule establishing a fee in lieu of dedication of required water shares and/or water rights 16. COUNCIL BUSINESS: - Water Updates - Burdette Weston - Roads & Streets Updates - Kirsten Gash - Park & Recreation Updates - Denise Johnson - Rodeo & Arena Updates - Kris Hodges Follow up on bleacher damage (CM Weston) 17. MAYOR'S REPORT: - Bear Lake Regional Commission Report - Town Updates 18. EXECUTIVE SESSION (if needed) 19. ADJOURN NOTE: The Town Council may vote to go into an executive session pursuant to the Utah Code 52-4-205 On Monday October 5, 2026, at 2:30 PM a copy of the foregoing notice was posted on the Utah Public Notice website at http://pmn.utah.gov and on the Laketown website at www.laketownutah.com. A copy was posted in conspicuous view inside and outside the Laketown Town Office in Laketown, Utah, and inside of the Laketown post office and at Dee's Service Station. DATED THIS 5th Day of October 2026 in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodations (including auxiliary communicative aids and services) during this public hearing should notify the Laketown Town Office at (435) 946-9000, 10 North 200 East, Laketown, Utah, at least three working days prior to the public hearing.
