- Riverdale City has requested annexation into Weber Fire District for fire protection, emergency medical services, and related emergency services. Weber Fire District will hold a public hearing to receive questions and public comment concerning the proposed annexation. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of Weber Fire District will hold a Board meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2026, in the Training Room located at Weber Fire District Station 61, 2023 W. 1300 N., Farr West, Utah. Board Members may participate electronically. Weber Fire District Board of Trustees - Meeting Agenda: 1. Call to Order 2. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Invocation 4. Public Comments - Comments will be limited to three minutes. Step to the podium, state your name and city of residence. No action can or will be taken on any issues presented during the public comment period. 5. Public Hearing: - Resident(s) wishing to comment on the following items will be allotted three (3) minutes to address the Board of Trustees. o 6:00 pm (or as soon thereafter as possible) - Public Hearing for the Riverdale Annexation o 6:01 pm (or as soon thereafter as possible) - Public Hearing for the Roy Annexation - Adjourn Public Hearing 6. Discussion and Action on the Following Resolutions: - 39-2026- A resolution acknowledging Riverdale City's request for annexation, authorizing the District to proceed with the annexation process, and directing District staff to complete all necessary actions in accordance with Utah law. - 40-2026- A resolution acknowledging Roy City's request for annexation, authorizing the District to proceed with the annexation process, and directing District staff to complete all necessary actions in accordance with Utah law. 7. The impact on this annexation, based on the approximate average property value in Riverdale City of $504,000.00 and the current certified tax rate, if approved, starting in 2027: Residential - $360.64 per year Business - $655.70 per year Property owners and registered voters within the area proposed to be annexed may protest the annexation by filing a written protest with the Weber Fire District Board of Trustees within 30 days after the public hearing. Protests can be emailed to district@weberfiredistrict.gov or mailed to the above address after the public hearing.
