MISSION: To promote, present and support artists and arts organizations in order to facilitate the development of the arts and expand awareness, access, and engagement. CALENDAR Events, Deadlines, & Other News: Finch Lane Gallery: Vicky Lowe (group exhibition) | Aurora Hughes Villa & Janimarie Lester DeRose. Exhibition opens September 14 through October 23. Opening Reception is Sept 18, 6-9 and Oct 16, 6-9. Grants: Project Support Grants, Round 2 opened Tuesday, September 15 Grant Reviewer Interest Form: we are always looking for grant reviewers if you have a friend who might be interested. Performing Arts: Twilight Concert Series: War on Drugs, October 1 at Gallivan Public Arts: Whale Fest: Hold the date to celebrate the new mural on Out of the Blue on October 3, 2:00-3:30 in the 9th and 9th business district Ballpark Mural Scooter Tour, Thursday, October 8 from 5:00-6:30 Japantown Mural Celebration, Monday, October 19 , 5:00 North Temple Mural Celebration, Thursday, October 22 , time TBD General: Save the date, Thursday, October 22, for Salt Lake City's Boards & Commissions Recognition Event. You should have received an email invitation through Greenvelope. Poet Laureate Announcement: Tune into RadioACTive for an interview with the Mayor and the Inaugural Poet Laureate on September 22 at 6:30 p.m. Mayor's Artist Awards ceremony will be held at Finch Lane on Tuesday, October 13 (evening).
