- NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE KANAB CITY COUNCIL Notice is hereby given that the Kanab City Council will hold a regular council meeting on the 9th day of June 2026, in the City Council chambers at the Kanab City Office, 26 N 100 E, Kanab, Utah. The Council Meeting will convene at 6:30 p.m. and the agenda will be as follows: WORK MEETING 1) MAYOR AND COUNCIL BUSINESS - LIAISON REPORTS 2) CITY STAFF BUSINESS BUSINESS MEETING 1) CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL 2) PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Members of the public are invited to address the Council. Participants are asked to keep their comments to 3 minutes and follow the rules of civility outlined in Kanab Ordinance 3-601. 3) CONSENT ITEMS: (Consent items contain routine, non-controversial items that require City Council action but need little or no City Council deliberation). A) Approval of City Council Minutes: Regular City Council Meeting - May 12, 2026 B) Approval of Accounts Payable Vouchers Accounts Payable May 12, 2026 - $99,355.63 Accounts Payable May 19, 2026 - $54,217.83 Accounts Payable May 26, 2026 - $242,681.04 Accounts Payable June 2, 2026 - $91,716.61 4) BOARD COMMISSION, COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS: No Items 5) PRESENTATIONS: No Items 6) PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS: No Items 7) ACTION ITEMS READY FOR VOTE: A) Consideration and Adoption of a Resolution Establishing a Revenue-Neutral FY27 Property Tax Rate as Required by Utah Law. B) Review of the Proposed Gateway Development Project, an Urban Development Project on the Kanab-160 LLC Property (Parcel No. 3-5-34-2), and Discussion of Potential Impacts to Kanab City. C) Consideration and Adoption of an Ordinance Adopting the Annual Kanab City Fireworks Restriction Map. D) Consideration and Approval of a Resolution Approving a Cooperative Wildland Fire Suppression Agreement with the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands. E) Consideration and Approval of a Resolution Approving a Wildland Fire Mutual Aid Memorandum of Understanding with the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands. F) Consideration and Adoption of a Resolution Approving the Kanab City Community Wildfire Preparedness Plan. G) Consideration and Authorization to Accept and Execute Documents for a Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant Award for Jacob Hamblin Park Improvements. H) Consideration and Declaration of Surplus Vehicles and Equipment. 8) ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION: A) Discussion of the Proposed FY 2027 Budget. B) Discussion of Annexation Opportunities North of Kanab to Address Fire Protection Service Gaps. 9) REVIEW AND DISCUSSION OF THE JUNE 23, 2026 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA.
