- Agenda Notice is hereby given to the members of the Hildale City Council and the public, that the City Council will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. (MDT), at 320 East Newel Avenue, Hildale City, Utah 84784. Councilmembers may be participating electronically by video or telephone conference. Members of the public may also watch the City of Hildale through the scheduled Zoom meeting. Welcome, Introduction and Preliminary Matters: Mayor Jessop Roll Call of Council Attendees: City Recorder Pledge of Allegiance: By Invitation of Mayor Jessop Conflict of Interest Disclosures: Mayor and Council Members Special Recognitions: 1. City Council Community Recognition and Appreciation Award Appointments to Boards or Commissions: Public Presentations: 2. Presentation and Consider Approval of the FY25 Audit. 3. Notification that the Budget Officer intends to state that the tentative budget includes a proposed tax rate increase. 4. Sherrie Broadbent -Tentative FY27 Budget Presentation . 5. Presentation on Property Tax Impact Schedule for the Proposed Property Tax Increase. Public Hearing: 6. The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment on a Property Tax Increase. The Budget Officer intends to state that Hildale City is considering a tax rate that exceeds the certified tax rate. The approximate dollar amount is $208,403.80 for funding the Police Department and General Fund which is a 170% increase in the city's property tax rate. 7. The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment on the Tentative FY27 Budget. 8. Consider approval of the Tentative Budget for Fiscal Year 2027.9. Consideration and Possible Action to Set a Public Hearing to Receive Public Comment on the Proposed Fiscal Year 2027 Budget. Approval of Minutes of Previous Meetings: Council Members 10. City Council meeting minutes of April 8, 2026, Work Session of April 15, 2026 and Work Session of April 20, 2026. Oversight Items: 10 minutes - Mayor Jessop 11. Financial Report and Invoice Register approval 12. City Admins report (Department reports included) Unfinished Council Business: New Council Business: 13. Consider approval of the Natural Gas Master Plan not to exceed $50,000.00. 14. Consider approval to purchase the Badger radio read upgraded system not to exceed $19,000. Gas fund will cover 50% and the water fund will cover the the other 50%. Public Comments: 3 minutes each - Discretion of Mayor Jessop Council Comments: For items not on the agenda (10 minutes total) Calendar of Upcoming Events: 5 minutes - Mayor Jessop 15.
