- **NEW MEETING LOCATION** Element Event Center 5658 Cougar Lane Kearns, Utah 84118 PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kearns City Council will hold a meeting on the 12th day of January 2026 to begin at 6:00 p.m., located at the Element Event Center, 5658 Cougar Lane, Kearns, Utah as follows: **Portions of the meeting may be closed for reasons allowed by statue. Motions relating to any of the items listed below, including final action, may be taken. PUBLIC MEETING 1. CALL TO ORDER 2. DETERMINE QUORUM 3. VISITING OFFICIALS 4. OATH OF OFFICE CEREMONY A. Pledge of Allegiance - Unified Police Department Color Guard B. Performance of the Star Spangled Banner - Kearns High School Madrigals C. Oath of Office Administration for Newly Elected Officials - Diana Baun, City Recorder a. Lorrin Colby, Jr. - District 4 Council Member b. Lyndsay Longtin - District 2 Council Member c. Jesse Valdez - Mayor D. Comments from Newly Elected Officials - Under the Direction of Mayor Valdez 5. CITIZEN PUBLIC INPUT (Limited to 3 Minutes Per Person) Any person wishing to comment on any item not otherwise scheduled for a public hearing on this evening's agenda should fill out a 'comment card' located at the entrance. Those signing up to speak will be called up to speak by the Mayor. Those invited forward shall step-up to the microphone and give both their name and address for the record. Public comment is limited to three (3) minutes per person. For those unable to attend in person, members of the public may submit public comments prior to the meeting for the City Council to consider.
