- Request for Proposal (RFP): SHEEP BARN Disassembly & Relocation Issued By: Ferron City Issue Date: December 23, 2025 Submission Deadline: January 2, 2026, by 5:00 PM MST ________________________________________ 1. Introduction & Project Overview Ferron City is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the professional disassembly, transport, and re-erection of an existing open steel-frame barn. The city is preparing for the construction of a new livestock facility and requires the current structure located at approximately 150 S. 50 W. in Ferron, Utah-to be dismantled. 2. Scope of Work The selected vendor will be responsible for the following: - Disassembly: Systematic dismantling of a steel structure (approx. 150' L x 72' W x 14' H) currently attached to concrete footers. - Organization: Stacking and labeling all components in an orderly manner to ensure efficient reconstruction. - Relocation: Transporting all materials to a site approx. one block away. - Re-erection: Complete assembly of the structure at the new location TBD. 3. Project Timeline Strict adherence to the following schedule is required: - Disassembly Completion: No later than January 19, 2025. - Re-erection Completion: No later than March 1, 2025. 4. Proposal Requirements Each proposal must include: - Company Profile: Legal name, address. - Relevant Experience: Summary of similar steel structure or relocation projects completed. - References: Contact information for at least three professional references. - Cost Proposal: A detailed, line-item breakdown of costs. o Note: Ferron City is open to discussing a 'trade-in-kind' agreement where the contractor retains approximately half of the structure's materials in lieu of a portion of the cash payment. Which would be the south side of the structure. 6. Submission Schedule Activity Date/Time (MST) Details RFP Issued Dec 23, 2025 Distributed via official city channels. Question Deadline Dec 30, 2025 Submit via email to Mayor@ferroncityutah.gov Site Visit Contact City Hall if Desired. On-site at 150 S. 50 W. Submission Deadline Jan 2, 2026, 5 p.m. Submit electronically to Recorder@ferroncityutah.gov Vendor Selection Jan 5, 2026 Notification sent to all bidders. 7. Submission Instructions Proposals must be received electronically no later than the deadline stated above. Late submissions will not be considered. Ferron City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive informalities in the bidding process.
