- Odyssey Charter School Governing Board Meeting October 23, 2025, Odyssey Charter School Music Room 6:30pm Welcome/ call to order: approve Agenda approve minutes from September 11, 2025, meeting Public comment Please limit comments to 5 minutes. The board may comment on issues raised during this period, but State law does not allow the board to take final action on issues raised during this time unless they are already on the agenda for a vote (USC-52-4-202 6c). Training: USBE Module 2 LEA Audit Committee Training (from 8:46 to end) Update of Board Member Training Completion School performance (15 minutes) Director's report Business Manager's Report Governance (30 minutes) Board Elections - Results & Board Assignments Bylaws, Charter, and Board Policies Review Annual Declaration of Conflict of Interest for All Board Members Review and Approve TSSA Framework Review and Approve SHiNE Policy (needs updating annually) Review and Approve Website Privacy Notice Review Head Lice Information and Protocol Notice Review of Prohibition of Corporal Punishment Policy Review of School Family Compact Review of Student Code of Conduct Policy Review of Student Search Policy Global Ends #2a: Students will master the objectives of a classical education, including competency in language arts, math, history, science and the arts Global Ends #2b: 90% of students who have attended OCS for two or more consecutive years will achieve 'proficiency' ( as defined by the USBE standards) in each subject area as reported by the end-of-year state reference tests. Global Ends #2c: OCS will be ranked in the top decile as measured by end-of-year state reference tests. Global Ends #2d: Every student continuously enrolled in OCS for at least a year will achieve at least one year's worth of growth( as measured by board approve assessment) in exchange for one year's worth of instruction. GPP #3e 1-6: Board Member's Code of Conduct Closed Session Closed session in accordance with Utah code 52-4-205; (a) discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; (b) strategy sessions to discuss collective bargaining; (c) strategy sessions to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation; (d) strategy sessions to discuss the purchase, exchange, or lease of real property; (e) strategy sessions to discuss the sale of real property.
