- PROVO CITY NOTICE OF ANNEXATION PETITION Pursuant to Utah Code Annotated §10-2-406 (UCA), Provo City, Utah, hereby gives notice as follows: 1. On February 7, 2023, a petition was received proposing the annexation of approximately 106.19 acres of land, located at approximately 2800 S 750 E., Provo, Utah 84606. The petition was filed by Tara Riddle, as representative for Provo City. 2. On February 14, 2023, the Provo City Council accepted the Petition for further consideration. 3. On March 6, 2023, the Provo City Council received a Notice of Certification from the City Recorder certifying that the Petition meets the requirements of UCA §10-2-403(3) and (4). 4. The area proposed for annexation in the petition is described as follows: BOUNDARY DESCRIPTION BEGINNING AT A POINT LOCATED S89°22' 23'W ALONG THE SECTION LINE 1022. 78 FEET AND SOUTH 1314.42 FEET FROM THE NORTHEAST QUARTER CORNER) OF SECTION 19, TOWNSHIP 7 SOUTH, RANGE 3 EAST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN; THENCE S13°15'29'E 39.37 FEET; THENCE S13°15'56'E 696.40 FEET; THENCE S13°11'33'E 1154.92 FEET; THENCE N89°00'00'W 1992.88 FEET; THENCE N00°00'01'W 462.67 FEET; THENCE N90°00'00'W 670.91 FEET; THENCE N18°15'00'W 139.15 FEET; THENCE N89°59'04'W 17.00 FEET; THENCE N31°34'29'W 543.79 FEET; THENCE S58°12'19'W 33.04 FEET; THENCE N31°46'29'W 1129.32 FEET; THENCE N89°59'57'E 88.92 FEET; THENCE S72°16'19'E 1324.06 FEET; THENCE S85°13'57'E 248.87 FEET; THENCE N00°32'04'W 214.07 FEET; THENCE N89°28'11'E 1603.10 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. AREA: 4,625,542 SQ. FT. OR 106.19 ACRES 5. The complete Annexation Petition is available for inspection and copying at the Provo City Recorder's office, 445 West Center Street, Provo, Utah, Monday through Thursday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. 6. Provo City may grant the Petition and annex the above-described area unless a written protest to the Annexation Petition is filed with the Utah County Boundary Commission (100 East Center Street, Ste 3100, Provo, UT 84606) by an authorized protestor by April 5, 2023 and a copy of the protest is delivered or mailed on the same day to the Provo City Recorder at the address noted above. 7. The area proposed for annexation to Provo City will be automatically withdrawn from a local district providing fire protection, paramedic, and emergency services or a local district providing law enforcement service, as the case may be, as provided in UCA §17B-1-502(2).
