- NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE Gunnison City Gunnison City is proposing to increase its property tax revenue for fiscal year 2025-2026. The Gunnison City tax on a $415,000 residence would increase from $315.67 to $564.69 which is $249.02 per year. The Gunnison City tax on a $415,000 business would increase from $573.95 to $1,026.71, which is $452.76 per year. If the proposed budget is approved, Gunnison City would receive an additional $209,130 in property tax revenue per year. This would be an increase of approximately 78.37% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth. The Gunnison City Council invites all concerned citizens to a public hearing for the purpose of hearing comments regarding the proposed tax increase and to explain the reasons for the proposed tax increase. You have the option to attend or participate in the public hearing in person or online.
