Date: May 20, 2025 3:00 pm Location: Emery County Administration Building 75 E Main Street, Castle Dale, Utah Emery County Board of Commissioners: Keven Jensen - Chairman Jordan Leonard - Vice Chairman Dennis Worwood - Commissioner -Pledge of Allegiance/ Invocation- (Note to the public: The consent agenda consists of item(s) that are considered to be routine in nature and will be enacted in the form of one motion. Any items can be removed from the consent agenda and heard in its regular order at the request of any commissioner.) CONSENT AGENDA Approval of check edits list, requisitions, and dispositions Approval of May 6, 2025 Commission Meeting Minutes NOTIFICATION Utah Retirement System (URS) 7-1-25 to 6-30-26 contribution rates have been set by the State Legislature. Rates will be certified by Emery County with URS, prior to 7-1-25. Approval of Emily Huntington as a volunteer for Search and Rescue. Approval to hire Amy Sorensen and Gavin Bernard as Seasonal Lifeguards working up to 29 hours per week, with no benefits, wage Grade 3. NOTIFICATION Selected Ansley Staley as a part time laborer at the Road Department working up to 19.75 hours per week, wage $18.00 ph. NOTIFICATION Selected Cambrie Jensen as a part time Office Specialist for the Clerk/Auditor's Office, working up to 19.75 hours per week, wage $15.25 ph. Approval to give James Clark a 3% wage increase for successful completion of his orientation period and 3% COLA given the first of the year, effective 5-26-25. Approval to reclassify Jennee Mangum, Assistant Librarian in Emery, to Grade 9. Due to successful completion of her 6 month orientation period she will move from Grade 7 to Grade 9, effective 5-26-25. NOTIFICATION Selected Kaylee Morris as a part time Office Specialist at the Museum of the San Rafael, working up to 8 hours per week. Wage $10.50 ph. Approval of Corrin Leamaster as a Reserve Officer, wage $16.53 ph. Discussion Items Items pulled from the consent agenda Safety Minute Presentation - Jim Jennings Public Lands and Planning/Zoning Administrator. Awarding of Safety Visa Gift Cards - 119 days with no loss time accidents. Discuss/Approve/Deny two (2) additional participants attending Honor Band that will receive the $250 donation requested May 6, 2025. Discuss/Approve/Deny monetary donation to Izzy Turner to attend the 2025 Governor's Academy. Discuss/Approve/Deny monetary donation to the Huntington Elementary Archery Team to attend the World Archery Tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC. Discuss/Approve/Deny Emery County Sheriff's Office application for the State Task Force Grant. Discuss/Approve/Deny State of Utah Contract Division of Outdoor Recreation (OHVR) Grant Emery County Trail Equipment & Supplies. Discuss/Approve/Deny State of Utah Contract Division of Outdoor Recreation (OHVR) Grant Emery County Trails Crew 2025 and 2026. Discuss/Approve/Deny continued marketing with Go Travel Sites. Discuss/Approve/Deny advertising an RFQ for videography and photography assets to be used for social media and other media. Discuss/Approve/Deny donating two (2) large, portable AC/fan units to Castle Dale City for use during events held at the Blue Sage Arena and purchasing new AC/fan units for the Road Department.
