- Notice is hereby given that there will be an election for (2) two trustees in the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area (CHPRSA), which is located in a portion of Salt Lake County, Utah. The election will take place Tuesday, November 4th, 2025. This election is for the office of Trustee in Trustee District No.1 and Trustee District No.2 (one trustee per district). The elected candidates will serve a 4-year term beginning on January 1, 2026 and ending on December 31, 2029. All prospective candidates shall file a declaration of candidacy in person with CHPRSA's filing officer at the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center, located at 7500 South 2700 East, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121. Declarations of candidacy will only be accepted Monday-Friday (8:30 am-4:00 pm) between June 2-9, 2025. A Trustee may not be a full or part time employee of CHPRSA while serving on the Board of Trustees. A candidate must be a citizen of the United States, be at least 18 years of age on the day of the election and have been a resident of the Service Area for at least 30 days immediately before the election. A candidate for Trustee in District 1 and District 2 must be a registered voter residing in the boundaries of the Service Area Trustee District 1 or 2 respectively. The Election will be held in conformity with all applicable election laws. Information regarding the position of Trustee and the election is available at the Administration Office of the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center, on the website at www.chparksandrecut.gov or by calling 801.943.3190 x.102.
