Notice is hereby given that there will be an election for (2) two trustees in the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area (CHPRSA), which is located in a portion of Salt Lake County, Utah. The election will take place Tuesday, November 4th, 2025. This election is for the office of Trustee in Trustee District No.1 and Trustee District No.2 (one trustee per district). The elected candidates will serve a 4-year term beginning on January 1, 2026 and ending on December 31, 2029.
All prospective candidates shall file a declaration of candidacy in person with CHPRSA's filing officer at the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center, located at 7500 South 2700 East, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121. Declarations of candidacy will only be accepted Monday-Friday (8:30 am-4:00 pm) between June 2-9, 2025. A Conflict-of-Interest form is also required at the time of filing (17B-1-306.1). The Conflict-of-Interest form can be filled out prior and brought with you (see attachment).
A Trustee may not be a full or part time employee of CHPRSA while serving on the Board of Trustees. A candidate must be a citizen of the United States, must be a registered voter residing in the boundaries of the Service Area Trustee District 1 or 2 respectively and have been a resident of the Service Area for at least 12 consecutive months immediately before the date of the election.
The Election will be held in conformity with all applicable election laws.
