- COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE AGENDA Wednesday, February 19, 2025, 7:30 PM 1020 East Pioneer Road Draper, Utah Administration Conference Room 1. Welcome and roll call Welcome and announcement of new Vice-Chair- Melarie Wheat. Thanks Melarie! Inspirational thought given by Falguni Dharodiya- Gratitude 2. Approval of previous meeting minutes. 2.a Approval of January 15, 2025 Community Engagement Committee Meeting Minutes 3. Committee member reports. Do we want to make new personnel assignments for different committees? 3.a Education Team Black History Month Poster Contest- fewer entries, how to improve for next year March Recognitions- Women's History Month 3.b Business & Community Relations Team Recap of the Share Kindness initiative day on Saturday- thanks to all that participated! Recap of welcome letter and magnet being mailed to new residents-hand out to committee members Discuss participation in service drive with PTSA student club Upcoming ribbon cuttings and welcome to Draper signs Legislative Recap given by Melarie 3.c Events Team March 15- Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast - 9:00 LLPA Congrats to Melarie for being selected as one of the volunteers of the year Cinco de Mayo- Monday, May 5- 6:00-8:00 pm Discuss entertainers and schedule for the event Draper Days Is the committee willing to run the Pie Contest- would involve marketing, and being present to manage entries, judging, and announce winners. Saturday, July 19- time is TBD. 4. Adjournment I, the City Recorder of Draper City, certify that copies of this agenda for the Draper Community Engagement Committee meeting to be held February 19, 2025, were posted at Draper City Hall, Draper City website www.draperutah.gov, and the Utah Public Notice website at www.utah.gov/pmn.
