Stakeholders Council Meeting Millcreek City Hall, 6th Floor Multipurpose Room 1330 E. Chambers Ave. Millcreek, UT 84106 Wednesday, February 19, 2025; 3:30 P.M. Notice is hereby given that the Central Wasatch Council Stakeholders Council will hold a meeting on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, beginning at approximately 3:30 P.M. You may attend the meeting at the anchor location: Millcreek City Hall located at 1330 E. Chambers Avenue, Millcreek, UT 84106, or virtually by registering at the below link. Please note that after registering, you will receive an email containing a meeting access link. https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN___S3z0XOTeywqExTiI9_7A Please take notice that a quorum the Board of Commissioners (the 'Board') of the Central Wasatch Commission (the 'CWC') may attend the meeting of the Stakeholders Council scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2025; beginning at 3:30 P.M. The agenda for that meeting of the Stakeholders Council is accessible here: Utah Public Notice Website, the anchor location, The Salt Lake Tribune, and Deseret News. Civility and decorum should be applied in all discussion and debate. Difficult questions, tough challenges to a point of view, and criticism of ideas and information are legitimate elements of a free democracy in action. Public officials and the public are encouraged to refrain from making belligerent, personal, impertinent, slanderous, threatening, abusive, or disparaging comments. 3:30 P.M. Opening 1. Chair John Knoblock will open the public meeting as Chair of the Stakeholders Council of the Central Wasatch Commission. 2. Chair Knoblock will call for a motion to approve the minutes of the November 20, 2024 Stakeholders Council meeting. 3:35 P.M. Administrative/Housekeeping Items 1. Ground rules, attendance. 2. Job description, scope of work, organization chart. 3. Making recommendations to the CWC Board and Stakeholders Council. 4. Accessing meeting materials. 5. Conflict Disclosure, Open and Public Meetings acknowledgement. 4:00 P.M. Committee Membership and Leadership 1. Stakeholders may request to join System Committees: a. Millcreek Canyon Committee i. Any volunteers? b. Environment System Committee i. Doug Tolman c. Transportation System Committee i. Ian Reddell, Doug Tolman d. Recreation System Committee i. Kim Doyle e. Economy System Committee i. Kim Doyle 2. Appointment of Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs. 3. Appointment of Youth Council Liaisons. 4:05 P.M. Mixed Breakout Groups 1. Discussion prompt: a. Keeping the Mountain Accord in mind, what are three goals the Stakeholders Council and/or its committees could achieve in the next six months? b. How can/should the two committees in this group work together to achieve these goals? 4:55 P.M. Mixed Breakout Group Reports 1. Committee chairs will share opportunities for collaboration with other committees based on their discussions. 5:10 P.M. Environmental Dashboard Survey Results 1. The Environment System Committee will present the results of their Environmental Dashboard Survey. 5:20 P.M. Staff Announcements 1. Stakeholders Council membership updates. 2. Environmental Dashboard Storyboarding Workshop on February 24, 2025. 3. Youth Council announcements. 4. Short-Term Projects proposals are being evaluated, and finalists will be contacted in mid-March. The Short-Term Projects Committee will meet to award funding in April. 5. Next board meeting is March 3, 2025. 6. Thank you to Millcreek for continuing to host our meetings. 5:25 P.M. Stakeholders Open Comment 5:30 P.M. Closing 1. Posted at the office of the governing body of each member entity of the CWC; and 4. Provided to the Salt Lake Tribune and/or Deseret News and to a local media correspondent. The audio recording and transcript of the meeting will be posted for public review. Commissioners will/may participate electronically. Meetings may be closed for reasons allowed by statute. Final action may be taken in relation to any topic listed on the agenda, including but not limited to adoption, rejection, amendment, addition of conditions and variations of options discussed.
