- Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council Environment System Committee Meeting Tuesday, April 8, 2025; 3:00 P.M. 311 S. State St., Suite 330, SLC, UT 84111 Notice is hereby given that the Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council Environment System Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, beginning at approximately 3:00 P.M. You may attend the meeting at the anchor location: the CWC offices located in the Brighton Bank building, 311 S. State Street Ste. 330, Salt Lake City, or virtually by registering at the below link. Please note that after registering, you will receive an email containing a meeting access link. https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZEtdOioqjkvGNwtOZw9lv78I9exGu3EBx2F Please take notice that a quorum the Board of Commissioners (the 'Board') of the Central Wasatch Commission (the 'CWC') may attend the meeting of the Stakeholders Council Environment System Committee scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2025; beginning at 3:00 P.M. The agenda for that meeting of the Committee is accessible here: Utah Public Notice Website, the anchor location, The Salt Lake Tribune, and Deseret News. Civility and decorum should be applied in all discussions and debate. Difficult questions, tough challenges to a point of view, and criticism of ideas and information are legitimate elements of a free democracy in action. Public officials and the public are encouraged to refrain from making belligerent, personal, impertinent, slanderous, threatening, abusive, or disparaging comments. 3:00 P.M. Opening 1. Co-Chair Dan Zalles will open the public meeting as Chair of the Environment System Committee of the Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council. 2. Review and approval of the minutes of the March 11, 2025 meeting. 3:05 P.M. Dust on Snow Research Presentation 1. Otto Lang will present his recent research on dust on snow in the Central Wasatch. 3:25 P.M. Central Wasatch Dashboard Discussion 1. The committee will discuss the Central Wasatch Dashboard and committee priorities based on Dashboard data. 3:40 P.M. Forest Service Needs Assessment 1. The committee will continue discussing recent Forest Service cutbacks and resource deficits: a. Impact on Mountain Accord implementation. b. How to support the Forest Service. c. Collaboration with Cottonwood Canyons Foundation. 4:00 P.M. Land Acquisition and Conservation Easement Discussion 1. The committee will share updates on private land purchases and conservation easements. 4:05 P.M. Little Cottonwood Canyon Transportation Discussion 1. The committee will discuss the CWC Board's 2021 statement on the Little Cottonwood Canyon EIS, entitled 'Pillars for Transportation Solutions in the Central Wasatch'. 4:20 P.M. Next Meeting Agenda 1. The committee will discuss items for the next meeting agenda. 4:25 P.M. Other Items 4:25 P.M. Public Comment 4:30 P.M. Closing 1. Final action may be taken in relation to any topic listed on the agenda, including but not limited to adoption, rejection, amendment, addition of conditions and variations of options discussed.
