Notice is hereby given that the Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council Environment System Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, beginning at approximately 3:00 P.M. Please take notice that a quorum the Board of Commissioners (the 'Board') of the Central Wasatch Commission (the 'CWC') may attend the meeting of the Stakeholders Council Environment System Committee scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2025; beginning at 3:00 P.M. 1. Co-Chair Dan Zalles will open the public meeting as Chair of the Environment System Committee of the Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council.
2. Review and approval of the minutes of the March 11, 2025 meeting.
3:05 P.M. Dust on Snow Research Presentation
1. Otto Lang will present his recent research on dust on snow in the Central Wasatch.
3:25 P.M. Central Wasatch Dashboard Discussion
1. The committee will discuss the Central Wasatch Dashboard and committee priorities based on Dashboard data.
3:40 P.M. Forest Service Needs Assessment
1. The committee will continue discussing recent Forest Service cutbacks and resource deficits:
a. Impact on Mountain Accord implementation.
b. How to support the Forest Service.
c. Collaboration with Cottonwood Canyons Foundation.
4:00 P.M. Land Acquisition and Conservation Easement Discussion
1. The committee will share updates on private land purchases and conservation easements.
4:05 P.M. Little Cottonwood Canyon Transportation Discussion
1. The committee will discuss the CWC Board's 2021 statement on the Little Cottonwood Canyon EIS, entitled 'Pillars for Transportation Solutions in the Central Wasatch'.
