TOWN OF STOCKTON 18 North Johnson Street PO Box 240 Stockton, Utah 84071 Phone: (435)882-3877 PLANNING AND ZONING AGENDA Tuesday, January 14th, 2025 7pm MINUTES Notice is given that the Stockton Planning Commission will hold a regular meeting promptly at 7:00 pm in the Town Council Chambers at the Stockton Town Hall 18 N. Johnson Street, Stockton, Utah. In compliance with the American Disabilities Act, any individual who may need special accommodations including auxiliary communicative and services during this meeting shall notify the Town Clerk at (435) 882-3877 at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. The order of Agenda Items may be changed if deemed appropriate by the Planning Commission. Time limits, if any listed for Agenda items are approximate and may be accelerated or delayed. Call to Order-Mitch Solomon 1. Pledge of Allegiance 2. Approval of November minutes Motion to approve, Gary 2nd Steve ALL APPROVED 4. Public Comments (3-5 minutes) Nando Meli- Discussion of General Plan, Grant received for 170000 to do new general plan, trying to come up with a committee to meet with Daniel to create new General Plan. 2 members of town council, 2 members of the P&Z. Antoinette will be in charge of Committee. Review the subdivision code and go over and make some changes. Currently looking for a new location for well. Have had multiple people come and help find a good location for well, including magnetic testing. Still working on having Ceaser Montes move the mobile home that he has on his property, currently looking for someone to remove it. Gary Hunter- Can the garbage truck go just one direction. We need to make residents aware and the garbage truck aware that it needs to go on the one side of the road so he doesn't have to turn around. Waste time, more fuel and more pollution. 5. Close public comments 6. Decide Chairperson for Planning and Zoning Gary- nominate Mitch Solomon, 2nd Steve, Vice chair- Steve Oblad All Approve 7. El Chile Verde Burrito LLC new restaurant- Mexican restaurant in town located at the Stockton Caf building. Currently remodeling it now. Gary- recommend approval to go along with this, 2nd, Edward 2nd. Dallin, as long as paperwork passes. 8. Maria Maciel 110 Connor demoing and putting home on property- Wanting to put a triplex on property. If triplex won't work, a duplex will be ok. They have soil report and asbestos report. Gary- Doesn't think there is enough room for triplex, Set backs are a concern. Lot 80x120, triplex 66x, need to look at setbacks. Don't demo it before you do anything, choices diminish. How many lots, you need 3 plots. Gary- would be great to have a new and improved residential. Possible conditional use permit. County will know how many plots in lot. Come back next month with plats and look at Stockton Town Code 10-7b-4 will tell you the set backs and sizes. Also, come back with where you will park?? Steve will go to County to look at lot sizes. 9. Subdivision Code? It got voted on and there were some things that needed to be changed, some changes were verbal. Antoinette will look over it, change if needed then send back. 10. Storage container ordinance discussion.- Mitch changed what he wanted changed and it was voted on, any more changes? Will review it. will send it out. 11. Town Council report from November meeting.- Steve, working on subdivision code and storage container code. 12. Council reports and assignments. Edward- concerned about two tankers on a property. Very unsafe, possible letter written by Dallin. 2 people on general plan- Mitch and Steve are willing and Clark may be willing. Next month, more storage container discussion. Steve can go to Februarys council. Push Julys meeting to the 8th. Move Aprils to the 8th. change November TBD 13.
