- Join our Online Open House! Open Houses are currently held electronically without an anchor location. About Open Houses: Online Open Houses are hosted by the Planning Division as an opportunity for constituents to stay informed, review projects, and provide comments and questions. To attend, click on the project link for each item below. Your input is valuable! Public Comments and Questions: We want to hear from you! Public comments and questions will be received within the public comment window. To submit a comment or question please contact the assigned planner via email or leave a voicemail, your questions will be answered within a week after the comment window has ended. During and following this comment period, the Planning Division will evaluate the proposal against the applicable zoning standards, taking into consideration public comments as they relate to the standards, and develop a recommendation for the Planning Commission. New Projects Open for Public Comment : The list of new projects open for public comment is updated bi-weekly. ___ Brooklyn Ave - Alley Vacation Salt Lake City has received a request from Jake Williams of JCI Inc., requesting approval to vacate (or give up public ownership of) an alley located to the south of 269 W. Brooklyn Avenue. The alley starts at Washington Street and runs west approximately 265' feet and is 15' wide. If approved, this alley would be divided and sold to the abutting property owners. The purpose of the alley vacation would be to accommodate the development of a new affordable housing project. The maximum allowable building height in this district is 60', and the existing building is 73'-9' to top of parapet. The approximate top of the largest antenna will be 81'-9'. The antennas will be in the center of the roof to minimize the perceived height form grade level.
