SPRING CITY PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Spring City Council gives notice to the citizens of Spring City that a Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. Public Hearing for the Budget and Power Rates, located at Spring City Hall, 45 South 100 East, to seek public comment and input from the public on 2025-2026 Budget and setting forth the new power rates. The new rates will be as follows: Fiscal Year 2025-2026: The minimum base rate per service shall be set at $26.00 for in Spring City Customers and $32.00 for out-of-town customers. The rates charged to customers for purchase of electrical power to be set forth as follows: Energy Charge: - $.1177 per kilowatt hour (kWh) Capacity Charge: - $5.00 Capacity Charge for usage above 500 kWh and below 800 kWh - $10.00 Capacity Charge for usage exceeding 800 kWh Other Charge: - $5.00 Capacity Surcharge for Interconnected Distributed Power Generation Power Cost Adjustment: - Base .0714 and PCA updated as needed by staff Fiscal Year 2026-2027: The minimum base rate per service shall be set at $27.00 for in Spring City Customers and $34.00 for out-of-town customers. The rates charged to customers for purchase of electrical power to be set forth as follows: Energy Charge: - $.1206 per kilowatt hour (kWh) Capacity Charge: - $6.00 Capacity Charge for usage above 500 kWh and below 800 kWh - $12.00 Capacity Charge for usage exceeding 800 kWh Other Charge: - $6.00 Capacity Surcharge for Interconnected Distributed Power Generation Power Cost Adjustment: - Base and PCA updated as needed by staff Fiscal Year 2027-2028: The minimum base rate per service shall be set at $28.00 for in Spring City Customers and $36.00 for out-of-town customers. The rates charged to customers for purchase of electrical power to be set forth as follows: Energy Charge: - $.1236 per kilowatt hour (kWh) Capacity Charge: - $7.00 Capacity Charge for usage above 500 kWh and below 800 kWh - $14.00 Capacity Charge for usage exceeding 800 kWh Other Charge: - $7.00 Capacity Surcharge for Interconnected Distributed Power Generation Power Cost Adjustment: - Base and PCA updated as needed by staff If you are unable to attend the public hearing, Spring City Council welcomes any written comments that can be delivered or mailed to Spring City Hall at 45 South 100 East, P.O. Box 189, Spring City, Utah 84662 during regular posted business hours or emailed to recorder@springcityutah.gov. You may view the 2025-2026 Budget and the Resolution to set forth the new power rates on the city website at springcityutah.gov, the Utah Public Notices website https://www.utah.gov/pmn/, and in the city office at 45 South 100 East, Spring City, Utah 84662. Our office is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
