Join our Online Open House Open Houses are currently held electronically without an anchor location. ----- About Open Houses Online Open Houses are hosted by the Planning Division as an opportunity for constituents to stay informed, review projects, and provide comments and questions. To attend, click on the project link for each item below. Your input is valuable! ----- Public Comments and Questions We want to hear from you! Public comments and questions will be received within the public comment window. To submit a comment or question please contact the assigned planner via email or leave a voicemail, your questions will be answered within a week after the comment window has ended. During and following this comment period, the Planning Division will evaluate the proposal against the applicable zoning standards, taking into consideration public comments as they relate to the standards, and develop a recommendation for the Planning Commission. ----- New Projects Open for Public Comment The list of new projects open for public comment is updated bi-weekly. ----- General Plan Amendment - Water Conservation Chapter Addition to Plan Salt Lake Mayor Mendenhall initiated this proposal to formally integrate the city's land use plans with the 2022 Water Conservation Master Plan. This proposed general amendment aims to promote water conservation and assess the impact of current and future development on Salt Lake City's water supply, infrastructure, and quality. Furthermore, this proposal updates the city's general plan to comply with Utah State Code 10-9a-403, which mandates the inclusion of a water element in Plan SLC by December 31, 2025. The Planning Commission is required to provide a recommendation to the City Council for this amendment. The site consists of two buildings on one lot, Sampson Apartments and Altadena Apartments, located at 276 E 300 S and 310 S 300 E, respectively. Neither of the alleyways provide access to adjacent residences and both have already been fully incorporated into Jefferson Park, which also serves as a retention basin for Public Utilities. The applicant is requesting this closure so all property parcels that make up Jefferson Park can be consolidated into a single parcel. A public hearing will be held with the City Council on this item at a future date. An additional notice for the public hearing will be provided.
