- Public notice is hereby given to inform the residents of Gunnison City that there will be a municipal general election on November 4th, 2025, for the following offices: Mayor and 2 City Council Seats (4-year term) If a primary election is needed, it will be held on August 12th, 2025. The constitutional and statutory qualification requirements for municipal office: 1. The person is a registered voter in the municipality. 2. The person will be at least 18 years old at the time of the next election. 3. The person is a legal resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election. 4. The person has not been convicted of a felony. Interested parties may declare their candidacy for an office in person between June 2nd and June 6th, 2025, during business hours, at City Hall with the City Recorder located at 38 West Center Street, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
