SOUTH DAVIS WATER DISTRICT BOARD MEETING
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH, 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the South Davis Water District will hold its regular Board Meeting at the District Office located at 407 W. 3100 S., Bountiful, Utah, at the time given above. The Public is invited to attend this meeting.

This meeting may be held as an electronic meeting with one or more Trustees participating via speaker telephone. The anchor location will be the regular meeting place of the Board of Trustees of the South Davis Water District located at 407 West 3100 South, Bountiful, Utah.
If you are not on the agenda, the Board of Trustees will not be able to discuss your item of business until another meeting. For most items it is desirable for the Board of Trustees to be informed of background information prior to consideration at a Board Meeting. AGENDA
1) Call To Order - Welcome to all those present.
2) Public comment period.
3) Board member reports.
4) Consider a motion to approve the minutes of the previous board meeting that was held on January 8th.
5) Consider a motion to approve the January 2024 expenses as presented on the expense report.
6) Review and discuss the District's strengths, vulnerabilities, and opportunities assessment.
7) Review current legislation to determine bills that the Board will support and bills that the Board will oppose.
8) Consider a motion to release back to the State all, or a portion of, the remaining $3.5 million in ARPA grant money that was awarded to the District for secondary metering.
9) Consider a motion to approve the proposal of Horrocks Engineering to study and apply for an exemption of Utah Code Sub-Section 73-10-34(13), which exemption would allow the District to meter at strategic points rather than every secondary connection. This proposal also includes converting irrigation #2 into an aquifer recharge station to prevent further groundwater drop in the area. The estimate came in at $99,580.
10) Manager's Report
a. Federal funding pause due to the executive administration change, and how this could affect the CDBG grant this year.
b. Discuss main breaks being caused by boosters.
c. Overview of current teacup and snowpack numbers.
11) Closed Session:
a. Motion to adjourn to closed session, if necessary, for reasons
permitted under UCA 52-4-205.
