PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED BOUNDARY CHANGE The Washington County Board of Education is proposing to amend the original proposed boundary change to the following: Affected Schools: Desert Canyons Elementary School, Secondary Desert Hills Cone Site (Sunrise Ridge Intermediate, Desert Hills Middle, Desert Hills High), Secondary Dixie Cone Site (Tonaquint Intermediate, Dixie Middle, Dixie High) Proposed Change: Students living in the area South of Enterprise Drive (industrial park) and along River Road (West of River Road) to the southern parkway and west to I-15. It also would include the developed area of Desert Color (East of I-15) to the Arizona border and to the exit/on ramp of River Road. The students living in this area would attend the Dixie Cone Site beginning in August 2025. Students currently enrolled in grades 6 through 12 would have the option to remain in the Desert Hills boundary (Desert Hills High, Desert Hills Middle, and Sunrise Ridge Intermediate), however, no bus transportation would be provided.
