NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given to the general public:
The Town of Big Water will be holding a Public Hearing on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 7:00 PM at 60 N Aaron Burr, Big Water, Utah 84741, at the regularly scheduled Planning & Zoning Commission meeting. The details of the PROPOSED Annexation Policy Plan will be discussed further.
The Town of Big Water, Utah, has developed an Annexation Policy Plan in accordance with UCA 10-4-401.5 (2024). This plan is designed to guide the town's decision-making process on future annexation requests, promoting orderly growth and development in line with our community's values and long-term vision.
Overview of the Annexation Policy Plan:
The proposed Big Water Annexation Policy Plan takes into account several key factors, including population growth projections, infrastructure and service costs, the town's General Plan, and considerations for adjacent recreation, state, and federal lands. The Big Water Planning Commission and Town Council have worked to ensure the plan supports sustainable expansion while respecting existing jurisdictional boundaries.
We welcome participation to ensure that the general public's opinions are considered in our decision-making process.
