NOTICE OF A BICYCLE ADVISORY COMMISSION MEETING November 12, 2024, at 6:00 PM ________________ PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Vineyard Bicycle Advisory Commission will hold a regularly scheduled Bicycle Advisory Commission meeting on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 6:00 PM, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 125 South Main Street, Vineyard, UT. This meeting can also be viewed on our live stream page. AGENDA 1. CALL TO ORDER/INVOCATION/INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHT/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 2. PUBLIC COMMENTS Time dedicated for public comment. Comments will be limited to three (3) minutes. No actions may be taken by the BAC due to the need for proper public noticing. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approval of 2023 Meeting Minutes 3.1. Approval of the 2023 year Bicycle Advisory Commission meeting minutes 4. WORK SESSION 4.2. Safe Systems Approach by Commissioner Jordan Christensen. BAC Commissioner Jordan Christensen would be presenting about Safe Systems Approach to address roadway safety and some applications in Vineyard for consideration as the city continues to grow and plans for its growth and development. 5. CONSENT ITEMS 6. BUSINESS ITEMS 6.3. Discussion and Adoption of the 2025 BAC Meeting Schedule 2025 BAC Meeting Schedule to be adopted by the Commission. 6.4. Election of Chair and Vice Chair The Commission will be voting to elect a chair and vice-chair for 2025. This will also be a moment to assign roles to other members of the commission to lead tasks such as event planning and other public engagement initiatives. 6.5. BAC name Change Ordinance -Municipal Code Amendments to Chapter 2.30 Commissions and Committee Creation (Ordinance 2024-15) The Bicycle Advisory Commission is proposing a name change to the Active Transportation Commission along with other text amendments to clarify the Purposes and Duties of the commission in the Municipal Code Section 2.30.020 Bicycle Advisory Commission. Staff recommends adding additional commission removal requirements to Section 2.30.010 General Provisions for all commissions. 7. STAFF, COMMISSION, AND COMMITTEE REPORTS 8. ADJOURNMENT The next meeting is to be determined. This meeting may be held in a way that will allow a commission member to participate electronically. The public is invited to participate in all Bicycle Advisory Commission meetings.
