Public Notice Pursuant to Utah Code §§ 10-8-8, 10-9a-207, and 72-5-105, notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 6:30 PM in the Kanab City Council Chambers located in the Kanab City Office at 26 N. 100 E., Kanab, Utah; the Kanab City Council will hold a public hearing to consider vacating a public street, commonly known as 400 East (between 200 South and 300 South/Hwy. 89), located within the boundaries of parcels identified by tax ID #s K-4-Annex and K-4-7-Annex in the Office of the Kane County Recorder; as more particularly described in the legal description on the following page(s). The purpose of vacating this public street and right-of-way is to facilitate the expansion of the Kanab City Cemetery. At the time and place set forth above, all interested persons may appear and will be given an opportunity to be heard. Legal Description: Public street located within parcel K-4-Annex, further described as: BEGINING AT A POINT 18.0 RODS & 5 LINKS N & 7.0 RODS E OF THE SW CORNER OF THE NW/4 OF SEC 27 T43S R6W SB&LM UT & RUN TH E 41.0 RDS; TH S 38.0 RDS; TH W 41.0 RDS; TH N 38.0 RDS TO THE PT OF BEG. CONT 9.73 AC, M/L. LESS: BEGINNING AT A POINT S 0°48'55' W 140.25 FEET ALONG THE WEST LINE OF SECTION 27, TOWNSHIP 43 SOUTH, RANGE 6 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN AND S 89°11'05' E 115.50 FEET FROM THE WEST QUARTER CORNER OF SAID SECTION 27, AND RUNNING THENCE S 89°11'05' E 44.54 FEET, TO A POINT ON THE WEST SIDE OF AN EXISTING BLOCK WALL; THENCE S 0°42'53' W 132.00 FEET ALONG SAID WALL, TO A POINT ON THE NORTH RIGHT OF WAY OF HIGHWAY SR 89; THENCE N 89°11'05' W 44.77 FEET ALONG SAID LINE, TO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF A PARCEL MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN ENTRY NO. 105348, BOOK 205 PAGE 71, RECORDED AND ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER, KANE COUNTY, STATE OF UTAH; THENCE N 0°48'55' E 132.00 FEET ALONG THE EAST LINE OF SAID PARCEL, TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
