- Public Notice is hereby given that the Board of the Washington County Solid Waste District will hold a regular meeting at the Washington County Building, 3rd Floor Training Room located at 111 E Tabernacle St, St. George, Utah on Monday, April 8, 2024, commencing at 5:00 p.m. 1. Pledge of Allegiance 2. Consider approval of minutes for February 12, 2024, regular meeting 3. Consider approval of Jan-Feb 2024 disbursements 4. Consider approval of budget to actual revenue and expense of Jan-Feb 2024 5. Consider approval to create an agreement with Republic Services on a land lease for storage Background and information: Republic Services is losing their lease on an 8-acre property used to store empty portable toilets, front-end containers, and roll off containers. Republic is seeking an agreement to lease comparable acreage at the landfill to store their equipment. 6. Consider approval of Republic Services construction reimbursement request for Cell 5B Background and information: Landfill Operation agreement provides Republic Services to request reimbursement for certain costs associated with new cell construction. - Presentation 7. Update on Landfill Gas to Energy Preparations Background and information: A landfill gas to energy program is a desirable solution for a clean, renewable energy source that can be monetized to the benefit of our communities. The District previously presented a third-party solution to transition landfill gas to electricity for use in an on-site server farm. The work of developing a long-term strategy with a supporting roadmap is underway and when completed will be provided to the Board with a recommendation. 8. Infrastructure Improvement Project Update Background and information: Building permit has been secured. Footings work occurring on the administration building. Dirt work on the roadway and scale house continues. Installation of water, sewer and utilities are being coordinated through Washington City. A scale vendor has been selected. Adjourn
