Town Board Meeting 7:00 PM
A. Pledge of Allegiance- Steven Staheli
B. Prayer - Charles Pipkin
C. Disclosures- N/A
D. Public Input, Non agenda items- Jake Christensen, the lot across 200 S 200 W, there are a lot of trees handing over into the house there onto the property from the city side and the home owners have asked to clean them up. Jacob is a local tree trimmer in town.
Steven mentioned that he wouldn't want all the trees gone, so maybe we can keep some. Jake said he could go and look at them and give his opinion on them and what needs to be done, leave it to his expertise on which ones to save or can be saved.
1. Approval of Minutes- Alisha motions to approve, Charles seconds, all in favor.
2. Pass and Approve the recertification of the Goshen Town Justice Court- This is basically just a continuation of the way this has been done for over 20 years. Charles motions to approve resolution number 11012023, approval to recertify the Goshen Justice Court. Randy seconds, all in favor of passing.
3. Council Updates-
JC said that the 911 coalition cancelled this month and last month, going to try for December.
Water project- did find one problem up the canyon, breather valves. Moving forward to bid alternates, as soon as they get the new tanks certified and bacterial testing done that Jake has to do, they will shut down the old tanks. Fencing will be one of the last things they will do. Some of the other alternates will be done, some we had originally trimmed due to money, will actually be getting done. Small sections through town will get new pipes etc. Main is done and good. Sprinkler timers and stuff have been installed.
Trail UDOT turned it over to a 3rd party firm and they will be in the beginning design phase. Shooting for construction next summer. Maybe for school next year.
The Mine is getting water from town mostly just extra revenue if there is damage, they will be liable. Now is a good time for them to use it because we have extra water. We are getting $20/1000 gallons. 3000 gal trucks are filling up each time. But there will be a little revenue on this. They will be responsible for the maintenance on the gravel and if it gets soupy or soggy they bring gravel to fix it. We can turn them away if ever we need to.
Rio Grande is looking to reopen the railroad track through Goshen. They are seeing if its feasible etc.
Work Session- Steven introduced Shari Phippen, she is our local administrative advisor for small town to help fix issues for office efficiency.
E. Adjournment- Charles motions, JC seconds, all in favor.
All who attened: Steven Staheli, JC Reynolds, Alisha Williams, Rachel Pena, Charles Pipkin, Randy Thomas, Glen and Sheri Evans, Shari Phippen MAG, Jacob Christensen, Jonathan and Heather Maclee.
