Call to order.
- Intent to increase certified tax rate within the district
- The Moab Mosquito Abatement District intends to increase its certified tax rate on properties within the district boundary for the 2024 calendar year.
- The amount of the proposed increase will be $60,000.00 which makes up approximately 16.58% of the final budgeted revenue ($361,784) during 2023.
- The purpose of this increase is to raise capital for projects such as building the new district office, cover moving related expenses, and begin to replace the aging vehicle fleet. The increase will also cover the rising costs of labor, chemicals, and other services which have all risen significantly since the district last increased their tax rate in 2020.
