Description/Agenda
An Annexation petition has been filed and accepted by the Panguitch City Council for the purpose of annexation of an area into Panguitch City. The annexation was certified on July 7, 2023. The Panguitch City Council received notice of certification on July 11, 2023. The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the Panguitch City office, 25 South 200 East, Panguitch, Utah 84759. Written Letters of protest or support for the proposed annexation can be delivered to the Panguitch City Recorder by August 7th. The area proposed for annexation to Panguitch City will receive fire protection, emergency services, and law enforcement services upon approval. A final Public Hearing on the annexation petition will be held on August 8, 2022, at the regular Panguitch City Council meeting. There will be no public election on the proposed annexation because Utah law does not provide for an annexation to be approved by voters at an election.
