Notice is hereby given that the Municipal Council of Provo, Utah will hold a public hearing on the following item during the Council Meeting that will take place on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at the Provo City Center Building, 445 West Center Street, Provo, Utah (new city hall building). Anyone interested is invited to attend.
Provo City Council will consider the following appropriations and transfers:
- Appropriate $265,000 in the General Fund, Streets Division for salt and overtime costs related to winter storms during the winter of 2023. The funding source is general fund balance.
- Appropriate $550,000 in the Stormwater Fund for spring runoff preparations. The funding source is Stormwater fund balance.
- Transfer $2,100,000 from the Engineering CIP to the Airport Fund and appropriate that amount in the Airport fund for Airport terminal projects. The funding sources is accumulated revenue from the county option transit/highway tax.
- Appropriate $439,000 in the Airport fund for interfund interest ($365,000), vehicle repairs ($33,000), vehicle fuel ($6,000), and facility maintenance ($35,000). The funding source is the Airport's fund balance.
- Appropriate up to $75,000 in the General Fund, Development Services division for wayfinding. The funding source is FY23 scooter revenue.
- Appropriate $750,000 in the General Fund, Fire Department for self-contained breathing apparatus since the current equipment expires in September 2023. The funding source is general fund balance.
- Appropriate up to $65,000 in the Vehicle Replacement Fund for the outright purchase of a new vehicle for the fire department. The funding source is the Vehicle Replacement fund balance.
- Appropriate up to $13,790 in the General Fund, General Services for the first-year loan payment on a new vehicle for the Fire department.
