NOTICE OF PROVO CITY'S 2023 MUNICPAL ELECTION
Positions available for the 2023 Election:
City Council District 1 - 4-year term
City Council District 3 - 4-year term
City Council District 4 - 4-year term
City Council City Wide II - 4-year term
The City of Provo will hold a non-partisan municipal General Election on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. If more than two candidates file for an office, a primary election will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
Candidate Filing Period:
Begins June 1, 2023 through June 7, 2023 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding Saturday and Sunday. Declaration forms must be filed with the City Recorder at Provo City Hall. A fee of $75 will be required at the time of filing.
Any resident of a municipality may nominate a candidate for a municipal office by filing a nomination petition and paying the filing fee with the City Recorder during the candidate filing period.
In lieu of paying the filing fee, individuals filing as candidates may submit a petition in support of candidacy, see Provo City Code 2.05.015 for additional information.
Candidates must comply with the requirements of Utah Code Section 20A-9-203.
