***PLEASE SEE ADDENDUM AT BOTTOM OF DESCRIPTION*** ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the FOREST STREET UTILITY RELOCATION & ROAD CONNECTION PROJECT will be received by Brigham City, at the office of the City Recorder, 20 North Main Street (PO BOX 1005, if USPS), Brigham City, UT, until 2:00 pm local time on March 13, 2023, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing two roads and relocating utilities (sewer, culinary water, storm drain power conduit) in preparation for the installation of an overpass over Forest Street. There will be 852 lf of bored pipes installed, 2,650 lf of culinary water, 3,465 lf of storm drain pipe, and 2,430 lf of sanitary sewer pipe installed. The project also includes preparing and paving new roads, asphalt patching, new curb and gutter, patching curb and gutter, new sidewalk, patching sidewalk, new fencing, and all other work required to render the project complete. The project has an Engineer's Estimate of $4.8 million. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. All documents listed in paragraph 7.01 of the Bid Form must be submitted. A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 pm local time on March 2, 2023, at the Brigham City Public Works Building, 980 W Forest St, Brigham City. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged, but not mandatory. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Jones & Associates Consulting Engineers, 6080 Fashion Point Drive, South Ogden, Utah, (801) 476-9767. Owner: Brigham City By: Christina Boss Title: City Recorder Date: February 22, 2023 END OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Publish On: 2023/02/22, 2023/03/01, 2023/03/8 ***ADDENDUM*** ADDENDUM #2 BRIGHAM CITY FOREST STREET UTILITY RELOCATION & ROAD CONNECTION PROJECT The following changes are hereby made to the Contract Documents for the above referenced Project: - The Bid Opening Date shall be changed to March 30, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the City Office (20 North Main Street, Brigham City). - Questions shall be submitted in writing to karter@jonescivil.com no later than 2:00 pm on March 27, 2023. - Document 00 41 23 Bid Form shall be replaced with the attached. o Excavation has been added to the bid schedule (Item #15 & #74). o Bid item #195 has been updated to 1,550 lf. o Bid item Electrical Boxes has been replaced by Conduit Sweeping Bends (#194). o Remove Pavement Striping has been added to the bid schedule (#39). o Bid Item #31 has been updated to 4 ea. - Document 01 11 01 Measurement and Payment shall be replaced with the attached. - Updates to the Drawings Sheets are as follows: o G-2: Added cross sections for the roads o RW-4: Updated to indicate 'work by others' The following are clarifications for the above referenced Project: - The City will be paying for all railroad flagging and UPRR permits. - The Awarded Contractor will only be placing conduit for power - the City will pull their own lines and supply the power. - General direction for the proposed bore methodology beneath the railroad tracks will be provided later. However, it will not be at the level of detail required by UPRR for the bore permit. A final UPRR bore plan will be completed by the City with the Awarded Contractor and then submitted to UPRR.
