Tropic Town Planning Commission The Tropic Town Planning Commission Minutes October 4, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Welcome: Tracy Johnson Roll: Tracy Johnson, Laree Bybee, Dennis Pollock, Ginger Elmer, Brook Wiseman Others: Lacy Post, Nathaniel Steed, Doyle Jolley, Joey and Bree Shakespeare. Pledge of Allegiance: Tracy Johnson Approval of Minutes: Dennis made a motion to approve the minutes, Ginger seconded the motion and the motion carried. Approval of Agenda: Laree made a motion to approve the agenda, Dennis 2nded the motion and the motion carried. Agenda Public Comment - No public comment Berkley Thompson: - Approval to move shed and add cement Nathaniel Steed stood in for Berkley Thompson. Nathaniel proposed that Berkely would like to pour a new concrete foundation and move his shed to that foundation. Tracy asked if he could bring proof that he owns the property to Dani. Dennis made a motion to approve project with the proof of ownership. Laree seconded the motion and the motion carried. Doyle Jolley: - Building Permit Doyle Jolley needs to re-new his building permit to take the county. Dennis mentioned that he would need to put in a culvert for drainage. Doyle said that he is aware of that and has already talked to Brett about getting one put in next year. Laree made a motion to approve his building permit, Dennis seconded the motion. The motion carried. Lacy Post - Building Permit Lacy purchased a lot in Sherrell Ott's subdivision. Dennis mentioned that Sherrell Ott has not deeded the water and sewer over to the town and this needs to be done before she can be approved for a building permit. Lacy will follow up with Sherrell Ott and then come to the town board. Tracy made a motion to table the approval. Dennis seconded the motion and the motion carried. Joey & Bree Shakespeare - Building Permit Joey and Bree came in mostly to ask some questions. They would like to eventually build on 370 w 550 N. They wanted to know if they are able to get utilities at that location. Joey mentioned that there is a meter and a fire hydrant. The biggest question would be sewer. Joey is wondering if the town would put a sewer main there. Brook stated that that is a question for the city council where it is regarding the water/sewer. Joey and Bree would like to be added to the agenda for the Town Board meeting. Adjourn Dennis made a motion to adjourn. Ginger 2nded the motion. All were in Favor. The motion carried.
