Central Wasatch Commission Hybrid Stakeholders Council Meeting Central Wasatch Commission Office: 41 N. Rio Grande Street Ste 101, SLC, UT 84101 Wednesday, October 19th, 2022, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Notice is hereby given that the Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council will hold a hybrid meeting at approximately 3:00 P.M., or soon thereafter, on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022. This meeting will occur both in-person and virtually via ZOOM. The anchor location is the Central Wasatch Commission offices. For those wishing to attend the meeting virtually, the public may register for the meeting through the following link. Once registered, meeting attendees will receive an email with a personal meeting access link and a call-in number for those whose only option is to call in. https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_5n078x1UQjyiyKt0KbJNqQ Please note: For in-person meeting attendees, masks are no longer required at the Central Wasatch Commission offices but are welcome for any attendees who prefer to continue using them. We will continue to monitor the situation and take any reasonable precautions for the public and staff. Civility and decorum should be applied in all discussions and debate. Difficult questions, tough challenges to a point of view, and criticism of ideas and information are legitimate elements of a free democracy in action. Public officials and the public are encouraged to refrain from making belligerent, personal, impertinent, slanderous, threatening, abusive, or disparaging comments. Please take notice that a quorum of the Board of Commissioners (the 'Board') of the Central Wasatch Commission (the 'CWC') may attend the meeting of the Stakeholders Council scheduled for Wednesday, October 19th, 2022; beginning at 3:00 p.m. The agenda for that meeting of the Committee is accessible here: Utah Public Notice Website, The Salt Lake Tribune, and Deseret News. 3:00 P.M. Opening 1. William McCarvill will conduct the meeting as the Chair of the Stakeholders Council. 2. The Stakeholders Council will consider approving the Stakeholder Council DRAFT Minutes of Wednesday, July 20th, 2022 (accessible here and attached). 3. Announcements The Silver Lake Boardwalk is under construction on the west side only. Hikers may still use the east side. Next year the east side will be renovated. Funding comes from a GAOA grant. USFS and Salt Lake County are finishing the Cardiff Meadow bridge and boardwalk this month. USFS has hired a full-time Ranger to supervise activity in the Cardiff Meadow area since it is one of the busiest trailheads in the Wasatch. The Town of Brighton is providing half of the funding. Geological Signs have been installed in Big Cottonwood: Remnants of an Ancient Sea (MP 2.3); Mississippian Marble (MP 7.2); Storm Mountain Quartzites (MP 2.8). Funding was provided by the CWC, Town of Brighton, and the Utah Geological Association. Call for additional ANNOUNCEMENTS from SHC Members. 3:10 P.M. UDOT Presentation 1. Josh Van Jura will present UDOT's LCC FEIS 3:45 P.M. Stakeholders Council Committee Update 1. SHC Committee Annual Reports will be presented at the November CWC Retreat. Reports are included in this meeting packet. 2. Results of survey 3. SHC Committee Members will be voted on at the January 2023 SHC meeting. If you are interested in forming a new committee or joining an existing committee, please notify the SHC Co-chairs this month! 4:15 P.M. Cardiff Fork Proposal 1. Tom Diegel will lead discussion on proposed Cardiff Fork memo 2. Stakeholders Council will consider voting on memo 4:25 P.M. Transportation Memo/Resolution 1. Pat Shea will lead discussion on proposed transportation memo 2. Stakeholders Council may vote on proposed memo 4:35 P.M. CWC Retreat 1. Blake will provide an overview of the goals and objectives of the annual CWC Retreat. Q&A from SHC Members will follow. 4:45 P.M. Open Comments 5:00 P.M. Adjourn Meeting 1.
